Range Rover Evoque Accident Recovery — Sworford Lane, Wheatley

The Incident

We received the call following a single-vehicle collision on Sworford Lane, near the railway bridge on London Road in Wheatley. The driver had lost control of a red Range Rover Evoque and collided with a roadside fence, causing catastrophic damage to the front nearside.

The Evoque had sustained:

• Substantial offside front collision damage
• Significant suspension damage with the front wheel torn from its mountings
• Severe damage to the driver's side door and front wing
• Structural deformation to the front of the vehicle

The Recovery

A damaged suspension on a modern SUV like the Range Rover Evoque means the vehicle cannot be safely towed with any wheels on the ground, best to recover and transport on a flatbed recovery truck.

Using our tilt-and-slide flatbed recovery truck, I was able to load the Evoque safely with all four wheels fully lifted off the ground. The vehicle was secured using our soft-strap technique to avoid further marking the damaged bodywork, and it was then transported directly to the customer's chosen repair garage.

Our purpose built tilt & slide flatbed was the perfect recovery truck for this job, just had to close the road for 10 minutes.
