A coach attempted a three-point turn on a sportsfield in Oxford and got its rear wheels stuck in soft, wet ground. The wheels were spinning freely with no traction, and the coach couldn't move under its own power.
How we recovered it
Standard recovery trucks couldn't handle a vehicle this size in these conditions. We dispatched our Freightliner FL60 wrecker, fitted with Century 612 recovery equipment — the same setup we use for heavy commercial and specialist recoveries across Oxfordshire.
Using the FL60's heavy-duty winch and rigging, we pulled the coach out of the soft ground onto solid standing. No damage to the coach and no tearing of the sportsfield surface.
